Responsibilities::

The IACS Security Specialist will report to the Director of Information Security and will be primarily responsible for providing troubleshooting and maintenance support to the global fleet of offshore drilling vessels by serving as the subject matter expert for industrial automation control systems and their networks with a primary focus on Cybersecurity. In addition to assisting with various rig specific projects and acting as a liaison between rigs, vendors, customers, and regulators by providing guidance/recommendations for OT related initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:
The IACS Security Specialist may:
  • Participate in PLC, HMI, VFD and OT troubleshooting
  • Assistance in managing and deploying cybersecurity projects for OT systems and networks, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Liaise between rigs and vendors for automation upgrades, installations, and commissioning
  • Implementing cybersecurity controls to protect OT systems
  • Assessing the cybersecurity posture of OT systems and networks, identifying vulnerabilities and risks, and recommending remediations
  • Collaborating with other teams and departments to ensure the integration of cybersecurity into OT projects and operations.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain company cybersecurity philosophy, policy, and procedures as it pertains to OT networks. (familiarity with IEC-62443 IACS Cybersecurity Standard and/or NIST CSF (Cyber Security Framework))
  • Administer various OT technologies for secure remote access, network anomaly detection, and software configuration management
  • Lead in performing cyber risk assessments on OT networks and remediation efforts during events as part of the CSIRT
  • Lead in training company personnel and other cyber/network consultants in company philosophy, policy and procedures related to industrial networking and security
  • Work in a team environment across multiple departments to solve emergent issues as required
  • Participate in weekly security meetings with cyber security committee
  • Provide accurate and timely responses to inquiries, questions, and challenges by proper diagnosis of situations and appropriate technical solutions and documentation
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest OT cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule to support global operations which could include weekends, nights, and holidays and on-call
  • Participate fully in all Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives and safety programs and in pre-tour weekly safety meetings
  • Follow Diamond Offshore Global Excellence Management System (G.E.M.S.)
  • Perform other duties as required
Qualifications::
Basic
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Possess or able to obtain a valid Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
  • 1 or more years of experience with IEC-62443 IACS Cybersecurity Standard and/or NIST CSF
  • 5 or more years of direct experience with PLC and HMI programming software (Siemens Step7, RSlogix 500, Factory Talk, Panel View)
  • 3 or more years of direct experience with instrumentation or electronics witin the O&G sector or other relevant industry
  • 3 or more years of direct experience with networking or communications protocol (e.g. Siemens, Modbus, and Rockwell)
  • Willing and able to travel up to 20% (both domestic and international)
Preferred
  • Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant discipline
  • Experience with common O&G packages (SDI, KIMS, Claroty, Factory Talk, K-Chief, K-POS, K-Bridge)
  • 6 or more years of offshore electronics/instrumentation experience
  • 6 or more years of demonstrated electronics troubleshooting
