POSITION OVERVIEW
TRC is seeking aGlobal Mobility & Immigration Manager and supporting our global operations. This position would be part of a skilled team that works closely with business operations. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and personable individual with an eye for detail and a desire to be part of a growing and high-performing team.
The Global Mobility & Immigration Manager will consult with management and employees on mobility programs and support in delivering services and program offerings to help to facilitate all mobility and immigration processes throughout the mobility lifecycle at TRC. You will evaluate with management, the business justification for the transfer, assess risks, prepare costing and present obstacles and timing associated with the immigration case. Assess the ROI and track ROI against proposal. Partner with Managers on resources required to perform work in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia and work permits required to flex the resources as needed.
Requirements:RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the strategy, processes, and execution of TRC's immigration and rotational programs across all TRC locations.
- Deliver strong global immigration processes with controls and monitoring to ensure the processes are actively maintained and continuously improved.
- Act as the immigration and relocation expert and answer questions about policy and processes from employees and cross-functional partners.
- Support the recruiting team and business managers with visa assessments for candidates and existing employees; communicate guidance on options, best practices, costs, and processing times.
- Manage the immigration lifecycle for all new hires to obtain U.S. work visas and permanent residency (e.g., H-1B, TN, E-3, F-1, O-1, J-1, and Green Card).
- Facilitate relationships to manage and support our employees through the entire process of an international rotation, including cost projections, communications and coordination of immigration and relocation procedures, work visas/permits, and partnering with key stakeholders to ensure the best experience for the employee.
- Ensure data integrity of our employees' immigration and relocation records to track and prioritize employer-required action items.
- Manage the I-9 process including reverification.
- Manage the relationship with our external immigration counsel and relocation vendors to ensure employees receive the best experience that is high quality and timely.
- Responsible for internal reviews or audits of immigration data, processes, and policies.
- Provide critical subject matter expertise for corporate activities (e.g., Talent strategy, divestitures, mergers, and acquisitions)
- Leverage reporting and analytics to demonstrate the value the global immigration function brings to TRC's businesses.
- Create educational resources for employees and managers to stay up to date on any changes in immigration that could impact our employees.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of global mobility/immigration experience with a leading global employer
- Leadership skills that inspire and drive top performance among team members.
- Extensive immigration knowledge and expertise – experience working in an immigration practice is ideal, but not necessary.
- Ability to provide guidance and recommendations for creating and scaling the immigration program to support talent needs and organizational philosophy.
- Ability to leverage and translate global mobility knowledge to influence talent strategy.
- Strong relationship management skills as well as a commitment to customer service and successful supplier management
- Excellent organization and project management skills as well as the ability to manage concurrent high priority initiatives while meeting committed deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills as well as strong facilitation skills that are flexible in presenting to a variety of audiences.
