Company Summary:
Weigand Construction, Inc. Mid-sized general contractor in Fort Wayne & South Bend, IN, established in 1906, that self-performs Demolition, Carpentry, Concrete, and Masonry.
Position Summary:

• The project manager/estimator for Weigand will meet with the customer to establish project scopes, estimate the cost of the work, and project manages the job through completion.
• Projects may not have plans/specifications, will consist heavily of self-perform work, and require a resourceful and creative person to manage the process.
• We work in industrial and commercial settings such as agriculture, automotive, and food processing.
• Projects range in size from $5,000 to $500,000+.
• This position is also highly independent, and the candidate will need to be as strong with construction knowledge as they are with people skills and building customer relationships.

• Obtain quantity takeoff information from field measurements and customer walkthroughs.
• Consists of design-build work, engaging engineering firms on solutions when required.
• Establish an executable plan to realistically accomplish the project.
• Generate estimates combining self-perform activities with subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Create and submit a proposal, with a detailed scope of work to the customer.

• Project Management
• Set up project and order material.
• Coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, and equipment rental.
• Support and implement safety culture and compliance.
• Project Manage the execution of the work and communication with customers.
• Ensure our customers have a quality experience and continue cultivating a quality relationship with them.

• Customer Relations / Business Development
• Be the face of Weigand Construction with the customer on every project.
• Building lasting relationships with customers and staying in communication with them during and between projects.
• Assess potential job leads and decide if the job is a good opportunity for Weigand, managing our risk.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
