STATUS: EXEMPT
PAY RANGE: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 / Year

The Information Security Analyst will plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor security protocols for the protection of the organization’s computer networks and information. They will conduct scans, audits, and assessments to advise on security best practices. They will also with closely with the admin team to remediate any and all pertinent findings.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with users to discuss computer data access needs, to identify security threats and violations, and to identify and recommend needed programming or process changes. – 10%
  • Uses data encryption, firewalls, and other appropriate security tools and applications to conceal and protect transfers of confidential digital information. – 10%
  • Develops and implements plans to safeguard digital data from accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure; adheres to emergency data processing needs. – 10%
  • Reviews violations of security procedures; provides training to ensure violations do not recur. – 10%
  • Monitors and restricts access to sensitive, confidential, or other high-security data. – 10%
  • ``Modifies security files and applications as able and necessary to provide specialized access, allow new software to be installed or integrated, or correct errors. – 10%
  • Performs risk assessments, audits, and tests to ensure proper functioning of data processing activities and security measures. – 10%
  • Safeguards system security and improves overall server and network efficiency by training users and promoting security awareness. – 10%
  • Determines when to update virus protection systems by monitoring current reports of computer viruses; facilitates or performs needed updates. – 10%
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. – 10%

Additional Responsibilities

  • Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth and common security elements.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data (e.g. Netflow, FPC), and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions
Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in IT related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of Information Technology experience.
  • 1+ years of experience of full-time information security related experience.
  • Working knowledge of application & infrastructure security solutions (Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Network Security, Password Management, Data Encryption, and Access Control).
  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management
  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance
  • Adheres to all Company Policies & Procedures and Safety Regulations
  • Adheres to local, state and federal laws
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management
