Position Details:

Summary of Duties:
This position will provide computer and network consulting: troubleshooting, technical support, account management, and software support services with the supervision and support of the Institute for Research and Education to Advance Community Health's (IREACH) IT Director. They will also consult with both IREACH project managers and administrative leadership on a wide range of service and support activities including, but not limited to; systems design, development, testing, and implementation, and maintenance of process/software and/or hardware solutions needs, account management, database and system application support and internet/web services.
The position is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing IT infrastructure and networks for the Institute, as well as developing and managing Institute IT policies and procedures. In addition, this person will handle escalations from end-user information technology support staff, while consulting with the IT Director on the allocation of resources outlined for the provision of IT services. Moreover, the position will play an integral role in the strategic planning efforts of the Institute by identifying resources and enhancements needed to meet the Institute's stated goals and objectives. The position will also serve as in a liaison capacity to Institute and campus IT teams, and, more broadly, the WSU community on IT matters.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree and three (3) years professional experience OR a combination of education and experience totaling seven (7) years from which comparable knowledge and abilities are acquired. Education and experience may be tailored to specific need requirements of position.

Additional Requirements:
  • Experience resolving information technology problems in a timely manner.
  • Experience providing technology support and customer service for complex software applications and/or computer systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of WSU administrative systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex software applications.
  • Experience in a higher education environment.
  • Experience with SharePoint administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services cloud-based solutions.

Monthly Salary Range: $4,869.47 to $7,304.10; commensurate with qualifications and experience.

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
