Location/Division Specific Information

US - Cincinnati, OH - 2110 East Galbraith Road/Pharma Services Group

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm EST (Hours flexible depending on availability of equipment)

A Day in the Life:

Perform IQ.OQ/PQ of pharmaceutical laboratory equipment

Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment

Repair and maintain laboratory instrumentation in a cGMP qualified state

Handle laboratory metrology schedule

Coordinate scheduled events with Laboratory Operations

Improve lab equipment availability to lab operations to meet client testing needs.

Perform uniformity mapping of controlled storage chamber, refrigerators, and freezers.

Perform investigations of failing calibration results

Mentor/assist in training analysts on equipment operation and routine maintenance

Coordinate subcontracted services

Serve as Subject Matter Authority for laboratory equipment platforms

Work with computer system validation engineers to qualify lab equipment with software-controlled applications.

Keys to Success:

Education

Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related physical science preferred.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

1+ year of experience with laboratory equipment operation, maintenance and/or repair preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Strong knowledge of wide-ranging aspects or a specialized aspect of calibration and qualification of equipment.

Knowledge of scientific methodology as related to the pharmaceutical industry.

Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Excellent critical and logical thinking skills.

Effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including leading discussions with clients.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to develop knowledge and skills in pharmaceutical processes, equipment, instrumentation, and procedures.

Ability to build innovative technical solutions.
