This role will report to our office in Andover, MA on a hybrid schedule. We are looking for an ISO Compliance Manager to develop and maintain an effective Compliance Program for our Energy Trading and ISO activities across the United States and Canada.
What You'll Do at Enel::
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of ISO market rules and regulations. Perform Regulatory deep dives and apply them to current business practices. Acts as subject matter expert for traders for any questions on ISO rules/markets.
- Assist with creating, maintaining, and enhancing all automated compliance tools. Assist in developing and delivering regulatory/trading compliance training to Operations & Management and trading personnel, as needed. Timely submission of regulatory filings and other internal reports.
- Assist with ensuring regulatory compliance with all applicable laws, including the requirements of various CFTC-Dodd Frank, US exchange and FERC Anti-Manipulation, ISO Market regulations.
- Create and update ISO, and internal compliance policies, procedures and other documentation as needed. Coordinate and ensure internal policies are adhered to. Lead data gathering and submittals for mandatory external reporting across ISO and wholesale power markets.
- Conduct regulatory assessments for Energy & Commodity Management activities as needed. Liaise with Regulatory Affairs, Trading, and Generation teams as needed to answer any external regulatory information requests.
- Facilitate the communication of ISO compliance requirements across the applicable departments. Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify and resolve problems and provide support for developing a pro-compliance environment throughout all divisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills to engage and develop relationships, specific experience in the RTO stakeholder process and trade association activity.
- Collaborative attitude and flexibility to learn and adapt with new technologies, changes in regulations and a dynamic market.
- Must be able to work in a constantly changing environment and capable of managing multiple projects and tasks while ensuring their timely completion.
- Proficient in reading Regulatory tariffs and applying them to business practice.
- Ability to work off deadlines and meet them.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in an international team environment and cross functional support. Interact with Front Office, Back Office, Middle Office, and Global Compliance (in Rome) on daily and ad hoc basis.
- At least 5 years of experience in the power market; preferably in compliance or trading departments within the power generation segment.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory activity at the RTO/ISO and PUC level, with familiarity with the structure and operation of Canadian energy markets.
