The Janitor will maintain a clean and healthy work environment for the facility. They will ensure that all assigned areas are sanitary, organized, and free of trash and debris. A motivated individual will have the opportunity to be promoted within the organization to other roles, such as facilities management or production operations.

Essential Functions:

• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Clean and supply designated areas.
• Clean and disinfect items such as refrigerators, water cooler, etc.
• Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and submit reorder requests.
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities (i.e. regular checks and resupply of safety stations).
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
• Make minor repairs and notify management when major repairs are needed.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
• Assist with production or packing, as needed.
• Follow all health and safety regulations. Notify management of any unsafe conditions.

Education/Experience:

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Integrity and ability to work independently.
• Excellent time management skills.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Experience with forklift and scissor lift, desired.

Supervisory Responsibility

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to fiberglass, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
• The factory is not temperature controller and employees will be subjected to varying temperatures, hot and cold.
