We are looking for a Janitor, custodian or subs, to take care of our building and carry out cleaning, maintenance and security duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition. Basic office cleaning monday through friday must have reliable transportation and be dependable to clean each day 7 days a week.

Daily Janitorial Tasks-

Clean entrance door handles. Clean all interior store glass & mirrors - remove fingerprints. Clean all reflective areas - metal, stainless steel, etc. Clean floors - sweep & damp mop. Vacuum - using crevice tool vacuum all corners, edges, carpet, entrance & floor mats Remove gum & shoe marks. Clean furniture & shoe display areas. Clean shelving - dust & damp wipe - high dusting. Clean register area & touch point disinfect. Clean showcase areas - accessories areas. Clean stainless steel (collets, etc.) Include elevator/escalator metal/stainless steel Clean & restock restrooms. Clean fitting rooms. Clean breakroom - disinfect counters, appliances, eating areas & drinking fountains. Properly bag and dispose of all garbage and recycling as necessary. Clean telephones - sanitize and wipe clean. Clean storefront (sweep). Spot clean display windows - exterior only.

WEEKLY- Clean high areas, high shelves; weekly rotation - 7x per week (daily in sections). Clean storefront (sweep) - 3x per week. Dust light fixtures & AC vents - 2x per week Dust and wipe down logos - 1x per week.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Make adjustments and minor repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff
• Follow all health and safety regulations

Skills

• Proven working experience as a janitor
• STRIP/WAX floor experience is a plus
• Sealing/Waxing/High-Speed Buffing
• Cleaning/Disinfecting and Sanitation
• Complete Floor Surface Care
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Integrity and ability to work independently
• High school degree
