As a Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter for Cerberus Safety Systems, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with industry standards and local codes. You will work with a team of skilled professionals to ensure that fire sprinkler systems are installed correctly, inspected regularly, and functioning effectively to safeguard lives and property. Your expertise in fire sprinkler systems, along with your excellent technical skills, will be crucial in providing reliable and efficient service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Installation and Inspection: Installing fire sprinkler systems according to project specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and local codes. Selecting and assembling system components, such as pipes, fittings, valves, and sprinkler heads. Testing and verifying proper operation of systems after installation. Conducting routine inspections of fire sprinkler systems to identify and address any deficiencies or issues.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Conducting routine maintenance tasks, including system testing, inspection, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues or deficiencies. Repairing or replacing damaged or malfunctioning system components, pipes, fittings, valves, and sprinkler heads. Updating system records and documentation as needed.
• Technical Support: Providing technical support to customers and other team members to resolve system issues, answer inquiries, and provide guidance on system operation and functionality. Collaborating with other departments, such as sales and engineering, to ensure efficient and effective resolution of technical issues.
• Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner. Communicating with customers to explain system operation, provide training, and resolve issues. Maintaining positive customer relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Documentation and Reporting: Preparing accurate and complete documentation, including inspection reports, maintenance records, and other required paperwork. Recording system configurations, changes, and repairs. Providing regular status updates and reports to supervisors and other team members.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards related to fire sprinkler systems. Adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures at all times.
• Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborating with other team members, including sales representatives, project managers, and other technicians, to ensure efficient and effective project completion. Providing technical support and assistance to junior technicians as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid journeyman sprinkler fitter license.
• Relevant experience in the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of fire sprinkler system components, including pipes, fittings, valves, and sprinkler heads, and their installation requirements.
• Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic calculations and fire protection codes.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to established safety protocols.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Overtime

• Saint Albans, WV: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:
