Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Tampa, FL

Reports To: Laboratory Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

Water Recovery, LLC is a non-hazardous industrial wastewater treatment plant. The lab is responsible for the regulatory compliance of the plant in this position, the lab technician is required to perform various analyses and record keeping to maintain environmental stewardship. This individual must adhere to and maintain strict compliance with corporate/office policies and procedures established health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sample and complete fingerprint analysis on incoming wastewater.
• Collect and process manifests to completion. Record all needed information into the company’s online database.
• Collect composite discharge sample, transfer to appropriate containers, and fill out chain of custody for submittal to a certified contracted laboratory.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations of the lab and plant.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining client relations.
• Assist in the development of individual wastewater treatments and participate in the collaborative support of wastewater treatment operations.
• Assis in the performance of pre-discharge analyses, completing discharge paperwork, and data entry.
• Assist with special projects as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to climb a ladder and perform field work.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Chemistry or Natural Science major preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and/or web-based software.
