The Company: Green Leaf Lab is the nation's first licensed and accredited cannabis analytical laboratory. We are a full-service, production oriented, cannabis and hemp laboratory using cutting-edge technology to characterize the chemical, physical, biological, and microbial properties of a wide range of samples submitted for regulatory compliance and operational purposes. We are team oriented and focused on excellent service. We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our team.
Position: The Laboratory Technician will assist in the daily upkeep and support of the laboratory by cleaning laboratory equipment; assisting with sample homogenization; restocking and verifying laboratory supply inventory; disposing of completed sample material; and sample preparation and analysis. Schedule for this position is Tuesday-Saturday.
Essential Duties:
· Sample prep for instrument analysis.
· Ensure test equipment is clean, maintained and in good working order.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary work area.
· Experience ordering supplies and maintain the proper laboratory functions.
· Use Laboratory Information Management System.
· Performs lab tasks as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in a science related field or 2 years of college or university education in science related field, plus at least 3 years of full-time practical experience.
· Experience in an analytical lab environment.
· Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Proven organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Must be able to formulate and clearly communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing.
· Ability to work both independently with little guidance, and within a collaborative group environment.
· Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
· Ability to lift 40 -- 60 lbs.
· Ability to stand for long periods of time.
· Must be at least 21 years of age.
· Must be authorized to work in the United States.
· Flexibility in work hours required.
· Background check required.
· Ability to work weekends.
· Ability to work overtime.
· OLCC Worker Permit required as of 1.1.2023
Compensation: $17/hour. Competitive benefits package included.
