Landscape Construction Foreman

We are expanding our operation and are looking for a landscape foreman who has experience in installation jobs including planting, trees, irrigation systems, rocks, steps, retaining walls, fire pits, and drainage infrastructure.

The Foreman position will report to the ownership team and will lead and manage up to 6 crew members. This person will be responsible for quality workmanship, ensuring jobs are completed on time, and within the scope of work. The Foreman will also oversee workplace safety onsite and communicating with clients.

Job Duties:

• Manage and lead 2-6 crew members, including training them on job tasks as needed
• Direct, oversee and participate in work performed by your team. This is a very hands-on position and requires this person to perform any task they would ask their team to do. You will be expected to work alongside them.
• Order and manage materials for projects, including producing accurate necessary paperwork
• Keep track of materials and equipment used on projects with provided job worksheet
• Communicate with clients and address concerns during and after projects
• Oversee time logs for crew
• Discuss safety concerns with crew and address any safety concerns
• Simple maintenance of equipment, tools and trucks (oil change, filter change, etc)
• Schedule jobs and manage future job requirements (materials, equipment, crew members)
• Work M-F 8 hour days or more if needed - Saturdays if needed (minimal)
• Hold the crew to our company value of neatness and professionalism
• Minimal job costing/bidding with support

Skills/Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Ability to proficiently operate a variety of equipment such as skid loader, mini-ex, backhoe, telehandler
• Ability to drive a truck with a trailer, including equipment hauling
• Ability to respect the customer while having hard conversations
• The ability to manage your time as well as the crew’s time
• Extensive knowledge of hardscape installation, plant material, outdoor lighting, water features, grading, etc.
• Extensive knowledge of irrigation systems, including troubleshooting and installation
• Ability to lift 75 lbs
• Responsible, honest, dependable

• Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions

Benefits and Compensation:

• $45-50/hour - dependent upon experience and/or qualifications.

• We work hard in the summer so we can take time off in the winter. We do not plow snow.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
