Rockin' TJ Ranch: Landscaper Job Description

Reports to: Landscape Lead

Typical work week: 20-25 hours per week. During the busy season (wedding season) must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Typically through November and returning again the following spring. May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the workload, staffing, and weather.

Position Summary: The landscaper is responsible for ensuring the work assigned is done efficiently and with quality. This position requires the ability to follow instructions and maintain work areas and storage areas, like the mower, lawn and tool sheds.

If the landscaper is looking for more work on the weekends as well, the dishwashing position is also a good fit and makes tips; both jobs can be done by one person.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Walk and stand during the entire shift
• Lift and carry leaves or bags of grass up to 100 lbs, with assistance
• Lift and empty trashcans weighing up to 100 lbs, with assistance
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing and lifting
• Work outdoors the entire shift
• Work in hot and cold environments

Major Requirements and Responsibilities:

• To be at least minimum legal working age
• Must have reliable transportation
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of workspace
• Mowing
• Power Raking
• Line Trimming
• Leaf Blowing
• Spraying or spreading herbicide and fertilizer with supervision
• Moving hoses as needed to water or mow
• Weeding flower beds, troughs, and barrels
• Pruning as directed
• Using power equipment such as hedge trimmer and chain saws
• Apply stain or oil to woods posts and boards
• Mixing fuel and oil
• Machinery maintenance
• Floral planting
• Burn piles
• Cleanup after storms
