May Center for School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders in Norwood is looking for a qualified Special Education Instructor to work in a classroom assisting the Senior Teacher on lead responsibilities and providing services to our students.Responsibilities
- Assist with coordination and leadership of the classroom.
- Provide assessments of students: strengths, needs, and preferences. Using this information to develop individualized education plans.
- Develop long and short-term goals.
- Implement comprehensive behavior support plans when necessary.
- Taking data on maladaptive behaviors; graphing and reporting updated findings to the clinical team.
- Ensure curriculum standards are met and integrated into students' IEP's.
- Use planning time to prepare and organize classroom materials and lesson plan.
- Bachelor’s degree (or enrollment in a master’s program)
- Experience in ABA preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
