Responsibilities:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Internal Communication Specialist to assist with developing internal communications to support IT initiatives.

The successful candidate will have experience in developing communication strategies, plans and compelling messaging, writing engaging copy for emails and other customer touchpoints, managing project timelines and driving discussions with internal customers. This person will develop positive working relationships with employees and stakeholders, and act as a key liaison between internal customers and project teams. In this role, you will develop proactive employee communications to support technical initiatives, with a strong emphasis on delivering an excellent employee experience. You will collaborate with leadership to craft, organize and promote messages to ensure success, ensuring all collateral and narrative accurately conveys company and IT value to various audiences. Finally, you will track and measure communications activities to assess and improve performance, develop and drive internal communications as needed, provide thought leadership and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • The Lead Internal Communications Specialist position typically requires 4 or more years of experience in communications, creative marketing, marketing agency and/or project management
  • 4 or more years of business writing experience required
  • Highly independent, motivated communicator with experience executing global, IT-focused campaigns and technology rollouts
  • Experience providing instruction, guidance and coaching to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments
  • Strong project management skills, time management skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strategic perspective related to communication as well as critical thinking skills and approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to communicate effectively and clearly to a broad range of employee segments across the company, including senior leadership
  • Expert proof reading and editing skills
  • Ability to drive discussions about tools and associated campaigns to tangible, effective outcomes and deliverables
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Ability and desire to advocate for internal users of varying technologies through a “customer first” approach
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed environment, including reporting to multiple leaders simultaneously
  • Experience leading teams and influencing/gaining consensus from peers and leaders
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Preferred:
  • BS in communications, marketing, journalism or related field preferred; MS in communications or MBA desired
  • Experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with SharePoint
