Play a leading role in assessing mergers and acquisitions opportunities for the GDLS leadership team. Support the strategic planning process with a mix of quick-turn and longer-term defense and commercial market analyses. Work closely with Line of Business VPs and Business Development to develop product line strategies with minimal supervision. Support the Manager of Strategic Planning and the VP for SP&BD in the reform of the formal strategic planning process. Be a "thought leader" in developing insights for leadership team on the US domestic defense market and related trends or considerations. Serve as a delegate for the Strategic Planning and Development Manager when necessary or appropriate. Provide accuracy and insight in quantitative analysis, both of markets and competitors, on a daily or routine basis. Prepare high quality briefing materials, white papers and other quantitative products with limited support or leadership guidance or editing.10-14 (8-10 with a Graduate Degree) years or more experience that includes market assessment and sizing, mergers and acquisition analysis and strategic planning within a Fortune 500 firm or for consulting firm with Fortune 500 customers. Demonstrated skills in the conduct of comparative quantitative analysis and assessment of markets and competitors is a mandatory requirement. Previous experience in mergers and acquisition with a publicly held firm is highly desirable, with specific experience and skills involving the valuation of firms. Prior US DoD government policy work would be a plus. Bachelor’s degree is required. Graduate degree in Business, public policy, or statistical analysis is preferred.
