Position Summary:

The Org Learning & Development Specialist, reporting to the Organizational Development Manager, directly supports employee experience (EX) strategies related to employee growth and organizational culture in support of achieving Lakeland Care, Inc.’s (LCI) outcomes-based strategic goals. Primary responsibilities of this role support organizational performance and career development, learning activities, and supporting LCI’s culture. This position will act as an organizational partner to deliver collaborative learning and development opportunities to leadership and employees of Lakeland Care.

Responsibilities & Competencies:

  • Assess learning needs and provide learning experiences which address identified outcomes. This may include development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Evolve a learning evaluation strategy to demonstrate educational efficacy which can be leveraged internally.
  • Maintain knowledge of innovative and effective adult learning approaches and methods.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement learning activities that ensure consistent and comprehensive application of LCI policies and procedures cross functionally.
  • Regularly analyze employee skill development, competencies, and other learning needs. Propose growth methods in response to those needs.
  • Demonstrate inclusivity to ensure organizational learnings are respectful and sensitive to all populations.
  • Research and implement strategies to advance culture, learning engagement and efficacy.
  • Actively mentor peers and employees as needed to effectively guide goal attainment and promote high performance.
  • Foster relationships LCI’s workforce so employees receive and offer strength-based feedback.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, other related field and, or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in human resources, organizational development, or related field.
  • Knowledge of innovative and effective adult learning approaches and methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and willingness to learn new software applications.
  • Strong organizational ability.
  • Strength in cross-functional collaboration, transparent communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Passion for self-development, seeking to expand knowledge and perform duties outside of expertise to develop and diversify skills.
  • Strong and creative problem-solving skills and a bias towards action and results.
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and proof of adequate insurance required.
