Inlet Coastal Resort, an upscale assisted living and memory care community located in Murrells Inlet has an exciting career opportunity available for an experienced Activities Assistant.

We are looking for a motivated, compassionate and reliable Life Enrichment coordinator to work with senior citizen residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care units.

A successful candidate must be a team player with a lot of patience, and a positive attitude, and be comfortable working with senior citizens with challenges, both physical and cognitive.

Life Enrichment Responsibilities:

* Assist with planning, organizing and setting up for activity programs under the supervision of the director.

* Maintain and clean recreation equipment and facilities.

* "Shadow" residents during outings and assist participants during activities.

* Possess and maintain a strong knowledge of the community, its benefits, the services provided, healthcare services overall, the residents and employees.

* Develop and maintain a solid volunteer base through building relationships in the community, with staff, and resident family members.

* Prepare monthly newsletters for all residents and their family

* Performing administrative tasks such as filling out paperwork and answering telephones.

Requirements:

* BS or BA Degree; health care related field preferred

* 2 years of experience in social planning or reccreation- Memory Care experience is a bonus!

* Comfortable working with people of all ages and backgrounds.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.

* Strong creativity and socialization skills.

* Tech savvy with experience in social media management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
