Lighting Controls Coordinator
Job description
Job Responsibilities:
- Effectively review and evaluate architectural and electrical drawings
- Complete lighting controls & emergency lighting take-off accurately and timely
- Read and review lighting specifications to ensure they are in sync with layout and application on drawings.
- Interact with professionals (architects, engineer, lighting designer) when you find inconsistencies between specifications and drawings via RFI (request for information)
- Identify and perform value engineering opportunities and proposals
- Review and account for scope changes for bulletins/addendums on projects in progress to assist Project Management
- Determine costs and sell amounts to maintain appropriate margins
- Collaborate with Management/Sales on all proposals
- Interaction with manufacturers and factory sales reps to assure competitive and timely pricing
- Prepare reports: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or as required
- Acts as a liaison between Sales and Engineering team to assess the strengths and weaknesses of selected products and product applications on the preferred vendor list to provide consistent and timely feedback to central purchasing
- Review submittals to ensure complete controls scope for a fully operational controls system
- Assist EC with implementation/troubleshooting throughout installation of controls system beyond the assistance provided by controls factory technicians
- Assist estimators and project managers with any lighting and controls technology related questions necessary to ensure a complete working lighting system is quoted and built
- Serve as a resource for any lighting and controls technology for clients and strategic business partners [and other FSG branches
Qualifications:
- College graduate
- Lighting controls estimating experience a plus
- Construction estimating experience a plus
- OASIS estimating software experience a plus
- Experience with reviewing construction plans, specifications, architectural sketches and other related construction documents
- Ability to complete material take-offs a plus
- Must be able to meet deadlines, multitask, work effectively in a challenging environment, and be willing to go the extra mile
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
- Strong quantitative and analytical math skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
