Location: Sibley Memorial Hospital, Washington, DC 20016Category: Support Services (Services/Trades)
Schedule: Day Shift
The laundry distributor will perform routine work in finishing and distributing linens. MUST be willing to be trained to use software and hardware for linen utilization.
Work Location: Washington, DC
Must be able to work the following hours: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Weekday) and 7 AM - 3:30 PM (Weekends) , must be able to work every other weekend
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Skills and Abilities Required:
1.Great verbal and written communication skills.
2.Ability to read and write sufficient English to fill out Laundry forms and records and read posted lists.
3.Ability to make accurate count of items.
Minimum Education and Experience:
1.No minimum education required.
2.Previous Laundry experience desirable, but not required.
Physical Demands:
1.Pushing and pulling heavy laundry baskets and carts loaded with linen weighing up to 500 lbs.
2.Lifting and carrying stacks of linen. Upper weight limit is controlled by employee based on the number of pieces he/she takes in stack. However, must be able to caring stack weighing 10 lbs.
