Position Details:

• Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm with some overtime available
• Mentor trades workers in best practices in machining of work pieces
• Ensures efficient and quality machine shop services
• 50% production machining. 50% R&D, mfg. support
• Receives requests for fabrication and/or repair of machinery, equipment, and/or component parts
• Inspects work, in progress and completed, to ensure conformance to specifications
• Support other manufacturing departments with fixturing, tooling, and design
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems
• Works closely with engineering team for new product development and design review
• Performs related work as required including programming of G code through CAD/CAM software
• Other responsibilities, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 5+ years’ experience in manual machining
• 5+ years’ in CNC machining
• Immigration sponsorship not offered for this role

Physical Demands:

• Normal working conditions absent extreme factors
• Must be able to see well enough to read reports, send emails, etc.
• Must be able to hear and speak well enough to communicate with customers and fellow employees
• Must be able to lift up to 45lbs periodically
• Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing concepts, tools, and applications
• Proficiency in CAM software, specifically Fusion360
• Strong G/M coding and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with tight tolerances +/-0.0005” or tighter
• Experience working with specialty alloy materials. Ex. Inconel, MP35N, etc.
• Experience working with Fanuc controls
• Experience working with HAAS, Daewoo, Milltronics, Doosan & Hurco machines
• Familiarity with small hole drilling EDM machines
