Maintenance Supervisors needed for Days, Swing shift. Salaried position DOE

Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning and managing the day to day maintenance (equipment, people, materials and systems) in order to efficiently, safely and cost effectively achieve performance targets. Coach, mentor and develop team members to meet current and future business requirements. Champion and lead change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's or Technical degree preferred.
  • Associate’s Degree or 3 - 5 years related experience and/or technical or vocational training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, implement and monitor activities in a constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to develop and implement continuous improvement strategies & quality control to optimize team performance.
  • Practical problem solving skills, training and supervisory techniques are essential skills.
  • PC software skills are required.
  • Understanding of Lean concepts and applications required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Supervise assigned mechanics and operations technicians to perform repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Provides training, direction, development, evaluation, coaching and leadership to ensure that proper training techniques.
  • Utilize Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to enhance Preventative Maintenance schedules and instructions to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Perform analysis of equipment downtime to further develop and recommend preventative and/or predictive maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate all planned downtime activities with production and maintenance planner in order to maximize equipment availability.
  • May perform the duties of personnel supervised along with other duties as assigned.
  • Communicates with the Maintenance Manager to resolve maintenance issues and recommend measure to continuously improve operations or machine performance.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of action plans to address root cause of failures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serves as technical and training resource for the team.
  • Time management, delegation and organization skills with strong problem solving ability.
  • Maintains company standards for cleanliness, productivity and maintenance in the processing, packaging and material handling areas.
  • Works with the Maintenance Planner as far as PM scheduling with direct reports.
