GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and/or repairing the equipment and facilities under the direction of the Maintenance and Facilities Manager. To do well in this role you should have previous experience in maintenance, be skilled with various hand and power tools, and able to read blueprints and machine manuals.

A successful candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, culturally diverse, manufacturing environment while representing a professional work attitude. Overtime may be required.

Position starts @ $18.00/hr but may be higher depending on experience!

$500 Signing Bonus after 90 Days!!

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Handling minor electrical repairs and maintenance.
  • Communicating with contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues.
  • Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
  • Removal or installation of machines and equipment.
  • Participation in plant safety initiatives.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven maintenance experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must be comfortable working at heights or in small spaces.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to replace defective parts on machines and equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, machine manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Ability to work safely and follow safe work practices.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Professional presentation and attitude.
  • Ability to maintain focus while working individually or as part of a team.
  • · Able to follow directions of management.
  • · Basic computer skills.
  • · MIG welding experience (preferred but not necessary) or willingness to learn.
