Maintenance Technician II

We are seeking to fill the position of Maintenance Technician II.

The Maintenance Technician II works closely with the Maintenance Director to maintain mechanical plant equipment and the physical environment of the building and grounds.
Maintenance Technician II Job Summary:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all building equipment.
- Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and refinishing work as needed.
- Do mechanical repairs on items such as hospital beds, lifts, stands, wheelchairs, commercial kitchen equipment, and commercial laundry equipment.
- Assist with snow removal using appropriate equipment, including snowplows.
- Maintain equipment as necessary.

Maintenance Technician II Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of building and preventive maintenance experience required.
- Current State of Illinois Drivers’ License, with proof of clear driving record and current auto insurance.
- Knowledge and interest in working with elders and persons with disabilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
