Position: Maintenance Technician

Seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for general day-to-day maintenance, repair, upkeep and efficient operation of the apartment community as a whole. This includes the areas of light carpentry, light electrical work, light plumbing, and mechanical. We want someone who works well independently as well as with others. Someone who is self-motivated and driven to keep your property consistently in top shape will do well at this property.

Job Type: Full-time

Experience: Building Maintenance - 4 Years (Preferred); HVAC/EPA Certified Required

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm; Emergency On-Call every 4th week

Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Completing work orders properly and in a timely manner; Order needed supplies for the week with the property manager
  • Keeping the property in excellent condition and taking initiative on property maintenance as a whole (non work order related)
  • Making apartments ready for occupancy
  • Basic electrical skills and fixture installation (i.e. ceiling fixtures and lighting)
  • Basic plumbing skills and installation
  • Coordinating repairs with outside vendors as needed
  • Perform HVAC maintenance (HVAC/EPA Certified or equivalent is Required) You will service this property as well as 3 others in the area when on-call, every 4th week.
  • Keep work shop clean and organized and up-to-date record of supplies
  • Observe and comply with property policies and procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Perform casual labor, such as, lifting/moving heavy items
  • Must be able to lift 100 lbs
  • Basic knowledge of swimming pool operations (Pool certification a plus)
  • On-call availability for emergencies and projects as assigned
  • Past experience with property maintenance strongly recommended
  • Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently
  • Hard work ethic and works well with others
  • On-time and reliable with a positive attitude

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
