Summary:

As the Maintenance Technician II, you are responsible for taking a more tenured guidance on performing highly diversified duties that include installation, troubleshoot, repair and maintenance on production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the plant's goals and objectives. You will be considered the subject matter expert with all things related to maintenance. You will also assist in training new hires a job level specific duty.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Performs routine facility audits by inspecting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment, including both rolling stock and stationary equipment
  • Performs preventative maintenance
  • Analyzes equipment failures, determines cause(s) and makes necessary adjustments or repairs
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Keeps accurate records of equipment failures and repairs.
  • Participates in on-call availability for maintenance and emergency requests.
  • Ensures that safety, health and environmental legal and company standards are complied with, emphasizing safety as a top priority.
  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
  • May be required to operate a forklift and Loader to move equipment and parts.
  • Regular, physical attendance on a predictable basis is essential to the performance of this job.
  • Follows instructions, responds to management direction.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and chase electrical Problems
  • Familiar with 480-volt 3 Phase, VFD's, Starters, Overloads, and PLC's is preferred
  • Ability to set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated technical skills, with a demonstrated aptitude to acquire greater skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as manuals and labels. Ability to and fill out all paperwork associated with job.
  • Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees.
  • Problem solving skills; exercises good judgment in determining best method and procedure to be followed.
  • Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system.
Knowledge/Experience:
  • Ability to set-up and maintain a system for providing preventive maintenance and service for miscellaneous production equipment (K&S dicing saw, precision grinder, pumps/compressors, lapper, metal vapor deposition system, etc.).
  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in equivalent role.
  • Basic PC skills.
  • Experience with set-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of K&S 980 dicing saws and other equipment.
  • Experience working in the medical device industry (ISO, GMP, FDA, QSR, etc.).

Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision.
  • Manual dexterity to use hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodations.
Salary and Benefits:
  • $20.77/hr. - $25.96/hr. depending on experience
