Management Accountant
Our client, a dynamic, fast-growing Public Benefit Entity is looking for a Management Accountant
As the Management Accountant you will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the Finance Team, taking responsibility for key processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the Finance Director to ensure the Finance Team provide an excellent service
- Providing accurate and timely monthly management accounts and commentary with monthly forecasting
- Providing on-going financial reporting, analysis and support to the organisation
- Preparing the annual budgets
- Leading and managing a small team of two Finance Assistants, providing them with direction, feedback and support
- Authorising bank payments for grant awards in accordance with the criteria of the Schemes of Delegation ensuring robust financial controls are maintained
- Preparing for year-end audits and complying with audit requests for information
- Providing cover for Payroll and VAT returns
Key Skills and Attributes (essential/desirable)
- Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience Management Accountant (Essential)
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a finance department (Essential)
- Excellent IT skills with the ability to navigate and use MS Excel, e.g. V look-ups & pivot tables (Essential)
- Strong attention to detail (Essential)
- Multiple entity management of ledgers/intercompany accounts/group structure set up experience (Desirable)
- Experience of working in a regulated or not for profit organisation (Desirable)
