Are you the type of leader to roll up your sleeves and get involved with day-to-day operations? If so, Red Rover is seeking a Manager, Field Operations, to manage the operations within the Fort Myers area. The Manager, Field Operations will have responsibility for staffing, asset management, including truck fleet, containers, and facilities maintenance. Ensuring a safe and clean environment, inside and out, for assigned warehouse locations and self-service lots to provide an exceptional customer experience and positive work environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Involved in planning and oversight of local jobs, repositioning of assets and route planning.
  • Work with Concierge team to coordinate customer transactions.
  • Drive/Reposition trucks to and from our self-storage lot to our storage facilities.
  • Drive a truck and container to and from customer locations.
  • Deliver on-site containers to customer locations using a forklift and lift system.
  • Complete multi-container delivery process using a truck and trailer combination.
  • Load and unload containers using a forklift.
  • Assist with assembly of containers to standard specifications at facility or customer locations.
  • Responsible for ensuring a safe and clean working environment, inside and out, for all facilities.
  • Maintain the warehouse, forklift and local delivery trucks to ensure that they are kept clean and in good repair and sanitized for each customer use.
  • Track container inventory at assigned facilities and ensure each container is assigned to the proper bin location.
  • Schedule maintenance on the forklift and local delivery trucks
  • Schedule repair to damaged containers whenever possible and ensure that the location has sufficient inventory of repair parts available.
  • May be involved in opening Incident Reports and working toward their resolution.
  • Maintain contact with staff, assisting them with their daily routes and tasks. Ensure accurate and timely completion of daily driver checklist, forklift inspection logs and driver logbooks.
  • Ensure compliance with and staff understanding of all DOT requirements, including Hours of Service regulations and licensing.
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and state and local facility compliance ordinances.
  • Ensure refueling equipment is performed in a compliant, cost-effective manner.
  • Perform tasks associated with the monthly internal audit.
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring and training staff. Provide effective and regular communication to staff including goals and opportunities for development.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Provide world-class customer service at all times. To include training associates, following up and resolving any identified issues, direct customer contact and refining operational processes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience in transportation, logistics, warehouse operations.
  • Prior experience in managing a team.
  • Excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills sufficient to communicate and interact effectively with drivers, customers, and co-workers.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Ability to quickly learn Red Rovers software and applications,
  • Forklift Driver Certification
  • Current valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and respectful demeanor with customers, co-workers, and management always.
  • Mechanical ability to identify problems with equipment.

SALARY $60,000 - $70,000
