Job Summary:

The Manager of Retirement Plans is responsible for Aimbridge's employee retirement programs including 401(k) and non-qualified deferral plans. As a retirement plan expert the manager ensures that the company's plans are compliant and that processes are streamlined. Reporting to the Vice President of Total Rewards this role handles the day-to-day operations related to the retirement plans including weekly funding administration as well as support for strategic retirement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 6-8 years of experience with a broad range of employment retirement plans required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain investment compensation and retirement packages to employees in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal training and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Thorough understanding of complex tax and benefits laws and regulations related to retirement planning and benefits.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees retirement programs for various levels of employees including 401(k) and nonqualified executive deferral plan.
  • Analyzes programs identifying opportunities for improvement and enhancement; researches and recommends changes to executive staff.
  • Manages the day-to-day activities related to the retirement plan including weekly funding administration.
  • Researches and proposes investment strategies that will maximize retirement dividends.
  • Educates and advises employees on regulatory requirements tax implications and administrative considerations of retirement plans.
  • Provides expert administration of nonqualified plans.
  • Drafts and maintains quarterly and annual plan performance reports; compares performance with projected targeted and budgeted goals.
  • Recommends revisions and modifications to plans based on performance.
  • Serves as the ranking management member and subject matter expert in developing and properly preparing compliance programs under ERISA the Internal Revenue Code and other laws and regulations.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with plan administrators financial advisors benefits brokers and other service providers and vendors.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends developments best practices and legal and regulatory changes in retirement planning and administration.
