Job DescriptionThis position manages key components of the volunteer program across the system with the purpose of providing a rewarding experience for volunteers while extending the capabilities of St. Elizabeth to exceed the expectation of our patients and guests and fulfill our mission. This position specifically oversees all student volunteer programs, manages the Guest Assistance program across the system, manages marketing/recruitment strategies, the volunteer database and reporting functions of the department. In conjunction with director, provides strategic planning and development for continuous program improvement and growth.

Job Duties
- Manage Volunteer Services/ Guest Information Assistant Leads, Guest Information Assistants, and Volunteers across the system ensuring Information Desk coverage and support.
- Provide appropriate hiring, training, coaching and recognition.
- Oversee all administrative aspects of current and future student volunteer and service intern programs - meet all mandatory volunteer requirements, cultivate and expand school relationships and internal department and SEP relationships, oversee recruitment, selection and training as well as provide formalized and ongoing recognition and support
- Ensure student volunteer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinators on placement and supervision.
- Responsible for the management of the Volunteer Service data base as well as reporting functions.
- Provide (as needed) support of the Edgewood Coordinator in facility Volunteer placement and overall management.
- Responsible for internal and external public awareness, program marketing and recruitment strategies including but not limited to continually updating the website, Volunteer newsletter, social and print media, etc.
- With the director, continually identify, develop, and implement initiatives, strategies and processes that advance the program and enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Write and review procedures as needed.
- Actively participate in or lead all system Volunteer program recognition, support events, activities and/or needs.
- Performs other functions as needed and/or delegated by the Director to assist in the effective and efficient operation of the Volunteer Services Department.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Human Services, Communications, Business)
- Coaching skills
- Strong interpersonal communication/ customer service skills
- Ability to work with diverse individuals
- Conflict resolution skills
- Computer and MS office skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Two or more years supervising volunteers and/or staff
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and problem solve
- One or more experiences planning, developing and implementing a new program or service
- One or more experiences of providing training assistance
- Personal volunteer experience
