As a Manufacturing Process Engineer you will be the star player in assisting fabrication & assembly teams in bettering their processes, redesign of product, and making them more efficient. You will be responsible for evaluating the current processes and providing solutions to critical-path issues to make us more cost effective and safer.


Our team’s success is dependent on your ability to combine engineering expertise with project management execution. Your talent and expertise in design will be crucial for positive outcomes. You will be leaned upon to provide top-tier engineering design that meets production, quality, and desired company standards. You will be presented with design challenges that will be up to you to drive solutions through concept, prototyping, development and engineering change orders.


Responsibilities:

  • Own and participate in Engineering Change Orders by:
    • Evaluating current products and procedures to optimize them for reduced cost or lead time
    • Maintaining and updating engineering files(Creo, Product specs, Reports etc.)
    • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) for products being changed
    • Driving Bill of Material changes and communicating changes to various stakeholders
    • Creating processes, procedures and building training to guide technicians
  • Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; Increase efficiency while reducing cost by:
    • Design & Fabrication (jigs, prototypes, tooling, & equipment)
    • Assembly & materials
    • Conducting time studies
    • Vendor communication
    • Soliciting observations from the production team
    • Supports production team by conducting studies consisting of:
    • Production information and trends
    • Calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
  • Develop quality standards through:
    • Design practices
    • Testing product
    • Creating a culture of process & procedure


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Solid Understanding of Manufacturing Principles (lean, kanban, hardware, etc.)
  • Proficient in the use of CAD/Creo
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent in work experience
  • We are looking for a degree in Engineering or an equivalent amount of work experience (5-8 years of experience preferred)
  • Communication is key for our success so you must be skilled in typing & writing reports, emails, and various documentation. This will pair with a necessity for computer skills- MS Office, & Google Suite (Specifically Excel/Google Sheet)
