Job Summary and Qualifications
As the Marketing and Community Education Coordinator at our facility you will be a key member of the marketing support model. Your primary role will be as a frontline representative of the hospital by providing project and event management for employees, physicians, employer groups and the community. This is a full time exempt position, which requires occasional flexible hours for special events, including evenings and weekends. In this role you will be joining an amazing team that works hard to support the hospital and one another. We are looking for someone who feels all aspects of patient care are as meaningful as we do. In this role:
- You will be responsible for growing the hospital and division employer outreach and education strategy, which includes executing health seminars and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
- You will be required to have expertise in all aspects of Marketing, ad placement, print production, website strategic communications, and project management; as well as internal and external communications.
- You will support hospital/market marketing directors by meeting project expectations and timelines through processes outlined in the marketing support model.
- You will be accountable collectively to hospital admin teams in meeting customer service expectations.
- You will execute specific tactics in both division and hospital marketing plans as assigned.
- You will be expected to be a subject matter expert in business communications, ranging from writing employee newsletters and memos to creating high-level presentations and talking points for the "O" suite.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required - B.A. or B.S. in communications, English, journalism, public relations, or similar field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate communications or marketing, with experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Event planning skills with attention to detail is essential.
- Must have access to a car and a valid Utah driver's license to perform functions.
- Desire to passionately support our patients and the work and people of St. Mark's Hospital.
- Position requires objective thinking, creative thinking, independent problem-solving, decision making skills, diplomacy, critical analysis, negotiating, tact, and ability to protect confidential information.
- Must possess initiative, outcome-orientation, insight, attention to detail, project management skills, and the ability to execute on departmental plans and initiatives.
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
