Mary Lubko Center Customer Service Attendant
Job description
GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible for assisting in the orderly operation of the Mary Lubko Center front desk, utilizing clerical/receptionist skills while interacting professionally with the public and co-workers.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent with at least 6 months experience in general office duties, strong computer skills and experience working with the public required. Must possess an aptitude for learning additional software applications. Must have great problem solving, analytical, organizational, interpersonal; and written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to multi-task and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Perform Rec Trac software related duties.
2. Process registrations and paperwork.
3. Demonstrate acquired knowledge of Wheaton Park District facilities, parks, and programs.
4. General clerical work that may include word processing and spreadsheets.
5. Perform cash balancing duties accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Open office according to the schedule and secure office upon closing.
7. Utilize OneNote to stay informed by reading daily.
8. Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer.
9. Follow the Wheaton Park District policies, procedures, and guidelines.
10. Proactively support the V.A.L.U.E.S. (integrity, fun, commitment, adaptability and growth, kindness, and service) on a daily basis.
11. Strive for continuous improvement of systems and self.
12. Maintain good safety awareness and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, ETC.
Must have and maintain: valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; and CPR/AED certified or obtain within six (6) months of employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must have the ability to: frequently use a keyboard and computer, remain in a stationary position for long periods of time; occasionally move about the office to access office equipment and files and move items such as supplies, tables, chairs, etc. weighting up to 25 lbs.; and rarely travel while assisting with supervising participants.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Must be able to: work in a standard office setting and rarely travel with exposure to exhaust fumes.
SALARY
$14.00+ per hour DOE
HOURS
8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Monday and Friday)
