JOB PURPOSE
:
Whether it is concepting new ideas or improving an existing product to enhance productivity – Ceres is ready to help bring ideas to life. We provide concept generation, detailed design, prototyping, testing, refinement, as well as manufacturing specialized machinery and purpose-built attachments. Our team of Mechanical, Industrial and Electrical Certified Professional Engineers has nearly 100 years of combined experience, and they, along with our technicians, welders and fabricators, complete our team of experts in analyzing concept generation, designing, and specifying components for complex systems and then bring them to life through our manufacturing capabilities.
As a Master Scheduler, you will plan, schedule, release, and track workflow from the engineering department to the manufacturing department. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing and coordinating the production schedule for Ceres and updating key events and schedules to meet the needs of the company goals, while maintaining minimal inventory levels.
Ceres offers an amazing working environment in our brand-new facility in downtown Omaha, NE. We are growing our business and we’re looking for an experienced manager with a proven track record of facilitating growth in a production environment.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES :
- Plan, schedule and monitor inbound materials from suppliers and internally fabricated parts and materials, with purchasing, production and engineering.
- Prepare master schedules based on inputs from sales force, customers, and sales history that will meet expected demand levels and conform to available capacity and manpower.
- Direct, manage and execute project development from beginning to end to include day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
- Accurately estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Determine and assess needs for additional staff including shop labor and/or consultants and/or subcontractors.
- Effectively communicate project expectations and accountability metrics to team members, service shop, consultants, subcontractor (if applicable) and owners in a timely and clear fashion.
- Establish inventory goals for major programs that meet business goals and track performance.
- Publish and perform root cause analyses on key metrics including Customer Service Level, Actual vs. Scheduled Productions and Master Schedule Stability within Pro.
- Develop and maintain 18-month demand, production and inventory summaries with Logistics, Sourcing and Finance.
