What you will do:
  • Ensure custody transfer measurement and electronic flow measurement (EFM) systems are operationally accurate, reliable, and compliant with regulations, codes, standards, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Establish and maintain standards to mitigate measurement inaccuracies due to flow errors, exceptions, missing data, data corruption, human error, and calibration results.
  • Provide technical direction to engineers and technical personnel to ensure the accuracy and quality of the measurement design during the execution of measurement related projects.
  • Provide support for integrated system testing as required for new equipment installations or upgrades.
  • Support Field Operations Technicians in troubleshooting and upgrading of measurement equipment.
  • Identify areas for improvement of the measurement facilities that are technically and financially justified. For example, obsolescence mitigation, reliability, or improvements of measurement operation.
  • Provide support for commissioning of new equipment installations.
Who you are:
  • Related university degree and six‐plus years’experience OR eight‐plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
  • Proven track record working within a project team environment with ability to work with minimal input
  • Experience with other Provincial, US and State regulatory requirements would be an asset.
  • Background in measurement program development, leadership and execution preferred
  • Undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to 5-year driving record, criminal check and a company sponsored medical.
  • Role requires a valid driver’s license, which will be verified with a driver’s abstract check prior to hire
Working Conditions:
  • Office environment (90%) with field visits (10%)
  • There is a limited amount of travel within Canada and the US associated with this position.

Physical Requirements (Office) include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:
Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
