Job Summary

Responsible for the planning and scheduling of corrective work orders, PM work and plant outages. Key involvement with Reliability Centered Maintenance program. Also responsible for the upkeep of maintenance documentation and data input in the maintenance database systems ( CMMS )

Essential Functions

  • Develops and issues daily and weekly maintenance schedules, PM scheduling and includes prioritization of emergency and backlog scheduling mutually acceptable to operations and maintenance departments. Outage and project scheduling. Communication of plant equipment availability
  • Requests parts and supplies from the Purchasing Department required for work order completion and follow up on status of back ordered parts.
  • Creates and reviews work requests generated by Production, Shipping, Labs, Maintenance and Quarry departments.
  • Work with the Purchasing team to specify equipment, identify spare part requirements and assists with review of contractor bid documentation
  • Develops and maintains electronic maintenance manual database. Updates CMMS documentation attachments
  • Develops, tracks and reports maintenance metrics (schedules compliance, PM compliance, corrective backlog, back order parts, etc.).
  • Support Maintenance department on PM days and during equipment shutdown / outages.
  • Work with the Maintenance department to develop Standard Work Instructions and Job Safety Analyses
  • Supports management with special projects and workflow process improvements.
  • Assists and documents all Root Cause Failure Analysis ( RCFA ) on critical Assets
  • Ability to assist with Plant Maintenance Supervisor duties
  • Responsible for and performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; or equivalent in professional level engineering work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance planning experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Proficient in predictive and preventative maintenance
  • Strong mechanical background with emphasis on planning
  • Strong computer software skills; CMMS experience with E-Maintenance / SAP is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to identify parts required to execute work, tool requirements, manpower requirements and the estimated completion time
  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and CAD drawings
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required.
  • Exhibits proactive attitude with high initiative and the ability to perform with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to walk and climb to all areas of the plant to inspect equipment and work completion; ability to see and hear safety signs and signals clearly.
  • Must present and maintain a pleasant and professional appearance and attitude.
  • Ability to work well with others and work within a team environment.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License and satisfactory driving record preferred

Working Conditions

Work environment involves working for extended amounts of time in front of a computer, as well as occasionally in the plant environment, which may include extreme working conditions and inclement weather conditions, noise, dust, and extreme heat due to lime production process; exerts physical effort in walking, climbing, stooping, bending, and carrying.
