Current Schedule Med-Tech / Caregiver:

• Full-time NOC shift 10 pm - 6:30 am, 2 days as a Med-Tech, 2 days as a Caregiver.

Position Summary: As an Assisted Living or Memory Care Med Tech, your first responsibility is to be a caregiver and assist with direct resident care throughout the entirety of your shift; with the goal of maintaining the resident's desired level of independence in a private apartment setting. You will also ensure that the residents are safe, well cared for and comfortable; supervise the caregivers on shift; and be responsible for resident medication administration and treatment program. Must work in compliance with federal, State and local standards for facility operation; adhere to all community and company policies; and communicate community philosophies to staff as well as residents.

Essential Duties:

• Provide assistance to residents with their activities of daily living as required by each resident’s care plan.
• Maintains adequate supply of medications and supplies vital to proper resident care. Administer medications & treatments to residents and update med tech taking next shift on resident med status/task assignments. Ensure that all medications and treatments are administered as outlined and reports medical errors to supervisor as soon as that are noted.
• Responsible to know and provide services that are required by each resident for his or her care. This includes but is not limited to activities of daily and; vitals signs, mobility, bathing, dressing, light housekeeping, laundry services, incontinent care, and hygiene. Provides the services as outlined in the resident care plan.
• Ensure a clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents.
• Adhere to additional duties assigned by the Community Nurses and Director.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be able to speak, read and write at a basic level in the English language.
• Flexible schedule/availability to work on weekends and holidays.
• Training in administration of medication and treatments; including delegation techniques.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Year of Caregiver work experience is preferred, or relevant education/training in lieu of work experience.
• Actively encourage resident Vitality (wellness of mind, body and spirit).
• Ensure that residents are safe, cared for, and comfortable.
• Have and maintain CPR & First Aid Certification (on-site training available).
• Great attitude, and willingness to learn. All employees will be required to complete online, and in-person industry and position-specific training required by the State and Generations.
• Continually demonstrate strong organizational and teamwork skills that promote positive and productive work force.
