Job description

Thank you for your interest in working with Sprouts Montessori of Bend. Sharon Richardson, owner and Director, leads a dedicated team of caregivers, educators and support staff at Sprouts. Together, they create space for the natural growth and development of children ages 6 weeks to 7 years in beautiful, intentionally designed, indoor-outdoor environments.

Sprouts Montessori of Bend strives to be a home away from home for staff as well as for children and families. We offer an inclusive and supportive work environment. We are an equal opportunity employer and seek to provide an anti-bias and anti-racist work space.

Our school is expanding and relocating to a special building in Bend where many children come each day to receive high quality education and care at four distinct facilities.

Join us as we grow Sprouts!

Our approach at Sprouts is to follow the child, that usually means going outside a lot! It also means ongoing professional development so that we all learn to recognize natural stages of cognitive, language, social and emotional growth in children. We design our spaces so that children are able to navigate throughout their days independently, with ease and enjoyment. Our job is to maintain our prepared environments, to supervise and observe each individual, and offer guidance and support as needed.

We are currently seeking full time Montessori trained teachers, experienced infant and toddler childcare providers, and anyone interested in supporting the world with the important work of caring for young children. Come ready to participate in our daily routines around food preparation, creating music and art, and going outside.

Do you want to become a Montessori teacher? Sprouts provides paid time for professional development, and sponsors Montessori training for committed teachers and assistants.
