Job Summary

The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for the processing, closing, and funding of new real estate

loan transactions as well as customer, loan officer, and branch support for existing real estate loans and

general mortgage inquiries.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Entry of new applicant’s information into Encompass software
  • Compile all available data to submit to the underwriter for review and qualifications of the borrowers
  • Gathering of CIP, FSB, bank statements, property data, taxing authority information available on the property, and pulling credit reports
  • Welcome call to the customer same day as receipt of new application
  • Creating initial loan disclosures in compliance with current bank regulations including the LE, Respa Disclosures, and intent to proceed within 48 hours of receipt of the loan application
  • Gather all conditions based on the underwriter’s condition approval
  • Create statements of denial and counteroffers
  • Pull flood determinations for the collateral properties
  • Resolve any flood determination manual research issues
  • Customer and MLO support throughout the loan process
  • Ordering of third-party services such as appraisal, appraisal review, title searches, survey, and insurance
  • Preliminary review of appraisal, title, and financial information
  • Work with all parties to clear up discrepancies or possible income verification and/or value issues
  • Work with the title agent to clear any title or property survey issues
  • Work with MLOs to collect borrower information and provide underwriting with all necessary conditions to be met in order to consummate a new loan
  • Receive approval from loan originator based on loan amount and exceptions
  • Submit documentation for review by the underwriter to discern if all requested documentation is complete and within the guidelines set by the conditional approval and bank policy
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred or commensurate work experience
  • 3+ years of banking experience required
  • Prior mortgage experience preferred
