Hunterdon Academy of the Arts is the largest performing arts after-school program in New Jersey’s Hunterdon County. The six-time winner of the Hunterdon Happening Competition (“Best Music School” Award), HAA is located in Flemington, offering in-person as well as online music, acting, and musical theatre instruction.
At this time, we are looking for an experienced Director to coordinate our Musical Theater Program and teach classes and lessons. This program caters to students ages 7 to 10 and 11 to 15.
This position is part-time and paid by the hour.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have earned an undergraduate or graduate degree in Musical Theatre, Theatre, or Drama Education. Moreover, preference will be given to applicants who have teaching and directing experience in the field.
Additional strong credentials in teaching voice or a musical instrument are highly desirable.
Job Responsibilities:
Teaching Musical Theatre and Acting Classes and Lessons as assigned
Planning and directing age-appropriate Musical Theatre performances for students ages 7 to 10 and 11 to 15.
Musical Theatre Programming and Curriculum Development
Researching suitable local performance venues and opportunities
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
