Cape Regional Health System is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving residents and visitors throughout Cape May County. We seek to hire an experienced Network Engineer who will embrace our mission to provide the highest quality healthcare to our community.

Position Responsibilities:

• Designs, implements, maintains, and supports network infrastructure. Configures and installs various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
• Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with other Technology Team members on network optimization. Monitors performance and ensures system availability and reliability. Monitors system resource utilization, trending, and capacity utilization.
• Performs network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations. Works within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
• Functions as a liaison between system users and the IT department. Gather data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to identify, and evaluate system and network requirements.

• Assists in the selection and implementation of security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the organization’s security team. Maintains relationships with IT coworkers and customer and vendor team members. Fosters teamwork and creates an atmosphere conducive to working together as a group. Shares After-Hours and On-Call support duties for designated applications with other IT staff.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience is required.
• Proven experience configuring and managing Cisco routing and switching equipment is required; experience with Meraki switching is a plus.
• Experience managing an enterprise wireless infrastructure using Aruba and/or Meraki equipment is required.
• Understanding of IPSEC VPN and Citrix NetScaler technologies is desired.
• Palo Alto firewall experience is a plus.
• Experience with Telephony, VoIP technologies and protocols (SIP/H.323) preferred.
• Desire to participate in information technology and network infrastructure projects that focus on providing business value.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel on short notice to local, offsite locations.
