Job description

Employee drivers (private transportation company) wanted. Experience with medical clients helpful, we transport clients to and from medical appointments (all clients are ambulatory). Selected individuals must work well others, and enjoy a fast paced environment.

JOB DUTIES:

-Safely transport clients to medical and non-medical appointments

-Safely transport non-ambulatory and ambulatory clients

-Safely operate wheelchair van (company vehicle provided); vehicle sharing is possible

PLEASE NOTE:

A drug test and background check, along with a DMV records check will be performed.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment

- Must be between 25 – 69 years of age for Insurance purposes and a licensed driver for at least 7 years

- Must be reliable and flexible (we can be flexible as well).

- No DUI's within the past 10 years

- No more than 1 ticket within the past 12 months

- No criminal convictions in the past 5 years

- Valid North Carolina driver license

- Read and speak English fluently for safety and directions

- Familiarity with Burlington, Greensboro and the surrounding areas preferred

- Access to a computer and skills to use email

- Must have a smartphone

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

-Ability to safely escort clients in manual wheelchairs

-Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and stretch in confided spaces

-Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time

-Ability to occasionally lift up to 55 pounds
