Job description

Every Child Achieves is on a purpose-driven mission to change the world one child at a time! We are proud to be celebrating our 20th year as an early intervention organization specializing in supporting children from birth to 36 months of age in their natural environment. Our vision for 2023 is to continue to grow one of the most collaborative and experienced interdisciplinary teams serving the greater Los Angeles region of California. For this reason, we are looking for the best pediatric therapists “baby whisperers” to join our journey and co-create with us! Our pediatric therapists include Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, & Speech-Language Pathologists. As a therapist-owned organization and 100% state-funded, we believe in creating a rewarding environment that benefits both our hard-working team and our community at large. We are invested in improving our community and are always seeking therapists that want to help and grow their impact in new ways! Our program does create a comprehensive team approach, therefore we have a minimum requirement of 20 hours scheduled per week for part-time and full-time starts at 30 hours per week.

We are a growing pediatric early intervention organization (100% state funded) seeking a motivated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric therapy with confidence in working with infants in their natural environment. You must enjoy being part of an energetic and active team providing services to infants and children under the age of 3 with developmental delays, weaknesses, and/or disabilities. We are looking for the right candidate to join our team, wearing many different hats and working in an ever-changing environment where you will truly make a difference.

Our ideal candidate for this job is someone who:

  • thrives working in a child’s natural environment.
  • driven by purpose and understanding that working in a state-funded organization requires commitment, hard work, and sacrifice. Our roles believe in continuity of care and only hiring therapists that can make long-term commitments to their caseload.
  • bring a strong aptitude for working with parents and not just therapeutic play but truly being a coach, a therapist, and a clinical authority in transforming the child’s entire ecosystem (parents, caregivers, siblings, and community at large).
  • are qualitative by nature and detail oriented in which they excel in communication (written, verbal, nonverbal)
  • are transparent and authentic in what their goals are and what they are seeking so that the organization can ensure you are an optimal fit
  • is willing to commit to at least 20 billable treatment visits per week scheduled

At Every Child Achieves, we are extremely selective about who joins the organization because we want to ensure each employee will thrive and reach their short-term and long-term goals! We begin our process with a communication typically within hours of your application and expect a response within 24 hours or less. We want candidates that are burning to do what we do and ready to thrive! Our first communication is typically an email in which we bring all of the compensation and logistics broken down in the most transparent way. We want your confirmation that everything outlined matches your ideal intention. We never want to start a relationship based on negotiation so our logistics are transparent and straightforward.

It is a “take or leave it” approach because we don’t believe in playing games but in paying you absolutely as much as we possibly can. Our roles are all set up with a billable treatment rate between $50 to $65 per billable hour based on the funding of that exact service and region, along with additional administrative reimbursement at $18 per hour for time-based functions outside of billable time like driving, documentation, etc. The global billable equivalency ranges from $60 to $75. We then have a bonus structure that is based on averaging 25 billable hours per week or greater in which you can earn an additional $10 increase to your rate to put your global equivalency at $70 to $85. At 20 billable hours, you are earning up to $75k per week on average for 50 weeks worked. At 25 billable hours per week for 50 weeks, you are earning between $87,500 to $106,250. At 30 billable hours per week for 50 weeks, you are earning up to $127,500. This does not include your pay for PTO, paid holidays, benefits (including base plan up to 90% of medical coverage), and a 401k that includes profit sharing.

Therapists that establish a strong productivity standard will be eligible for a lower base salary plus bonus structure but the highest earning potential is based on our hourly payment model as detailed above. We have flexible compensation models with excellent benefits, work-life harmony, and a strong support structure. We are looking for the best of the best so typically it is the top 10% of applicants that we hire! IMPORTANT: If you have previously applied for a job at Every Child Achieves within 18 months, you should not re-apply as we have your information already on account. We are all about fit and so our hiring process does take all of that into account to ensure we are right fit for you and vice versa.
