Job Title: Operations and Development Specialist

Reports To: Operations Development and Training Manager

Locations: Remote to TX

FLSA Status: Exempt/Salary

Position Status: Regular, Full-Time

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday with overtime and/or weekends according to business needs

Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 depending on experience

Travel: Up to 50% of the time, in or out of state

Job Summary

This role publicly represents Westport Properties to new and existing team members and current and future partners, investors, and vendors. It requires a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy, and tact in all situations and under all circumstances. This individual has a broad range of computer proficiencies and is comfortable analyzing raw data and developing reporting in in Microsoft Excel, troubleshooting various technical challenges that arise and hinder field operations, and developing systems and procedures on a variety of platforms that enhance the Sales program in the field. Basic proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio is required. Candidates must be able to travel and maintain effective communication and good working relationships with all WPI team members, both in the home office and in the field. This role is a position of influence across many areas of the business, however it is not a position of authority. An effective Operations Development Specialist will be able to collaborate with field leadership and notify them of important issues or concerns while maintaining good rapport with all team members involved. They will be a collaborator, an innovator, a critical thinker, and a creative problem solver who remains coachable and adaptable as their experience grows. They will also be comfortable in a mentorship role, providing training to field staff both on site and remotely.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Regular attendance in accordance with Company’s Attendance Policy is required for this position

  • Interpret and analyze several types of internal reports

  • Independently identify and communicate insights and action points from raw data

  • Develop reporting to illuminate various aspects of field operations using Microsoft SSMS and Microsoft Excel

  • Maintain and distribute a variety of highly detailed and accurate reporting for the portfolio.

  • Complete Due Diligence trips and reporting for new properties independently

  • Provide the Acquisitions and Operations teams timely insight on a property’s physical and operational conditions

  • Provide Acquisitions and Operations teams recommendations and action points based on findings

  • Complete a variety of administrative and operations tasks in preparation for taking on new properties

  • Lead the on-site transition team during the initial few days managing a new property

  • Assess the accuracy of newly converted SiteLink databases and identify and correct all errors

  • Complete all software setup and office setup necessary for standard operations

  • Provide support on a variety of systems, processes and procedures as requested by various team members

  • Make recommendations to supervisor for future projects and initiatives

  • Collaborate with other departments during development projects as needed

  • Other Duties As Assigned

  • Periodic special projects and duties may be assigned based on Company need and requirements

  • Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, with frequent interruptions or distractions and within tight deadlines

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Some college preferred but not required.

  • Relevant years of work experience may substitute for the degree requirement

  • Relevant experience in matters related to sales, customer service, marketing, training, and operations development

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, and Outlook with advanced skills in Excel highly preferred

  • Proficient?knowledge of Sitelink and/or CallPotential is highly preferred or other CRM or FMS applications

  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and good organizational skills

  • Ability to understand and convey Company Policies and relevant industry standards

  • Ability to manage performance improvement matters with confidentiality and timeliness

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data for reporting purposes

  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members while exercising diplomacy, sound judgment and tact

  • Ability to deal effectively with co-workers, department supervisors and managers, insurance brokers, insurance company representatives, attorneys, and other consultants and/or vendors

  • Ability to work flexible hours depending on various departmental project deadlines and/or Company events and sponsored programs
