Outpatient Services Specialist
Job description
Jefferson Community Health & Life is looking for a Part-time Outpatient Services Specialist.
Hours: 32 hours per week. (M-F) schedule depends on the work load. (Could be 4 - 8 hr days or could be 5 - 6-7 hour days)
This is a new position.
Position Summary:
The Outpatient Services Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the outpatient orders from receiving the order, processing the orders (verifying and authorizations). This position will receive orders from outpatients for various departments/procedures. Including Radiology, Laboratory, Specialty Clinic, Oncology Surgery, and Outpatient. Provides the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Clinical experience, preferred.
- Previous Medical office experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 codes and CPT procedure codes, preferred.
- Knowledge of Medical terminology and medical insurance, preferred.
- Must be able to type a minimum of 35 wpm.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
- Previous computer experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
- Good organization skills with ability to meet deadlines.
- Good problem solving skills.
