An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic emergency bed service coordinator to join the Paediatric and Neonatal Decision Support & Retrieval Service (PaNDR) for the East of England.This is a new and developing service which delivers neonatal and paediatric critical care transfers across the East of England. You will play a crucial role within the service, coordinating emergency referrals and bed/cot locating across the region. You will act as the first point of contact for all forms of communication for the service.
This emergency service is based at the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge and you will be required to work 12 hour shifts covering a 24/7 rota with your colleagues (to include weekend and night shifts).
The EBS coordinator is the first point of contact for enquiries to the regional 24/7 emergency PaNDR hotline. The EBS coordinator is responsible for facilitating requests for transfer, advice and guidance, cot and bed locating and rota enquiries. These requests are often in emergency scenarios and can require long periods of concentration and focus combined with the ability to deal consistently with people in a clear, calm and polite manner.
The EBS coordinator will work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure that often complex enquiries and requests for transfer are dealt with and communicated appropriately in a timely manner.
