We are seeking a Part-Time Human Resources Coordinator at our corporate office in Joliet, IL. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with HR experience who would like the opportunity to work a part-time schedule of 3 days per week 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (your choosing) with a hybrid telework schedule option of 1-2 days per week after training is completed.
The ideal candidate will have excellent keyboarding skills and the ability to conduct phone interviews while typing candidate responses, strong MS office skills and experience in a variety of Human Resources functions including recruiting, payroll and benefits supports.
Primary Job Duties Include:
- Collaborates with Human Resources Manager and Payroll/Benefits Manager to understand work tasks and provide support to both functional areas.
- Assists in maintaining all employee personnel files, records, and information within Paylocity.
- Responds to inquiries from outside agencies to verify employment status and maintains records of transaction and responses.
- Completes scheduled phone interviews with selected candidates including completion of typed reports capturing candidate responses to questions.
- Assists with Paylocity Recruiting process including uploading phone interview notes, updating candidate status and other necessary tasks.
- Assists with scheduling internal promotion interviews between candidates and management teams.
- Assists with a variety of reporting requirements by gathering data, developing reports, or maintaining files.
- Additional duties will be discussed during an interview
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E. D. (Required)
- Associate’s Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration (Preferred)
- ·General knowledge of Human Resources Practices, State and Federal employment policies, procedures, and requirements (Required)
- One to three years experience supporting Human Resources and Payroll Department (Required)
- General knowledge about individuals with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities (Preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) (Required)
- Proficient with Database Software, preferably Paylocity or similar HRIS/Payroll software (Required)
- Excellent keyboarding skills and the ability to type verbal responses during phone interviews to complete a document reflecting the responses (Required)
- Strong reading and writing skills (Required)
- Ability to meet Essential Job Functions with or without reasonable accommodations (Required)
