The mission of Path of Discovery Counseling Services, LCSW, PLLC is to guide millennial women of color on a path of discovery, healing, and self-reflection by examining, envisioning, and exploring how they can live a more authentic and peaceful life. Roles:

The Contract Therapist will be a member of the Path of Discovery Counseling Services, LCSW, PLLC team providing optimal mental health service to the patients assigned to their care, utilizing a variety of modalities to enhance patients’ overall well-being, and supporting each patient as they navigate and make progress in their individual wellness journey.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Therapist’s duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Initial consultation
• Patients’ assessment
• Treatment plan development
• Counseling, advising, listening, asking
• Providing referrals
• Maintaining records
• Continuous training and development

Skills:

• Problem solving
• Listening
• Communication
• Coaching
• Organization
• Computer - familiarity with Google Docs, SimplePractice

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work or Psychology
• Previous experience working as a therapist or under supervision of a therapist
• Independent license (LCSW, LICSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC)
• Must be in good standing with licensing board
• Willing to credential with insurance companies
