Web Designer/Developer Tech Gardens, New York, NY Contract Position

Tech Gardens is a multi-vendor systems integrator delivering best in class technology to our clients. We combine industry expertise with innovative technology to deliver next generation solutions to in the Enterprise, Service Provider and Utility markets.
We are looking for a talented creative Web Developer that can take our website to the next level. The successful candidate will assist us in maintaining and enhancing our existing websites as well as developing new ones.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain several Wordpress websites
• Manage projects from initial concepts to completion
• The ability to think and work independently, manage and meet tight deadlines and to collaborate with team members
• Ability to audit websites weekly, update plugins, address errors, and take appropriate action to maintain secure websites that are up to date and functioning properly
• Other duties as required

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in CMS, Flash, WordPress, Adobe CS5 and CS6
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
• Strong design skills combined with how our brand/messaging is expressed; using creative process that will enrich the content/copy
• The ability to visualize and take into account the impact of various platforms on design/layout
• An understanding and ability to manage (at times tight) deadlines, work on multiple projects simultaneously - while not sacrificing quality
• Passionate about delivering outstanding work - a creative problem solver
• Highly effective working independently and within a (great!) team. Flexibility and a collaborative attitude is key
• Self-motivated, highly responsive (24 hour turnaround expected), with a strong work ethic
